The invisibleSHIELD is a polyurethane film designed to protect gadgets such as iPhone and iPod from scratches which is also used by the military to protect the leading edge of helicopter blades which explains why it could withstand 1,000 lbs of weight in this strength test.

Scary robot dog that reminds me of those animals from Resident Evil. This robot by Boston Dynamics moves extremely life-like as it move across the snow, ice, stones and cement blocks. Funded by DARPA, it is definitely an impressive engineering feat.

This is footage taken from Japanese TV that shows what’s in future for the world of gaming and entertainment. The demo demonstrates a person trying on different kinds of hairstyles and face paint using the 3D software that renders your face with the new prop. This will allow gamers to interact with the gaming environment better.

Photosynth is a software technology from Microsoft Live Labs that will change the way of how you view digital photographs. Although Microsoft has not announced any release date however it is stated that Photosynth will eventually be web based and rely on user submitted digital photos. Architect Blaise Aguera Arcas shows what the Photosynth is all about in this amazing demo.

A demo of liquid and fire effects from Scanlines Flowline Special Effects. It is a standalone calculator that you can export the data into a 3D engine such as Blender, Maya and others. It definitely adds up the extra realism in movies and games.
