Scary robot dog that reminds me of those animals from Resident Evil. This robot by Boston Dynamics moves extremely life-like as it move across the snow, ice, stones and cement blocks. Funded by DARPA, it is definitely an impressive engineering feat.

Paul Merton in China was a popular four-part television series and in this clip, he travels with his translator Emma to check out a farmer who ‘grows robots’. Woo the farmer had little education and no formal training but he creates robots from scrap metals. His latest creation ‘The Rickshaw Robot’ is definitely one unique creation of the eccentric robot creator.

Robot-obsessed Japan has researched a creepy robot which has the intelligence of a baby of age 1-2. The robot moves and acts exactly like a baby to the reaction of sight, hearing and touch. The scientists plan to develop the robot into a higher intellectual level of age 3 years old years later.

A cool robot called Keepon programmed by Marek Michalowski and developed by Hideki Kozima for a university project that dances to the song ‘I Turn My Camera On’ by the band Spoon. If they could programmed the little guy to dance to any beat and mass produce it, it will definitely sell like hot cakes.

Awesome 3D robot animation by Kaktus Film, Sweden’s premier agency for motion graphics and 3D animation. Another great work by Kaktus Film was the animated lion mascot for Fifa World Cup 2006 in Germany.

Seems like realistic robots are not too far in the future. At the AKIBA Robot Festival in the Akihabara district of Tokyo, this female android called Actroid DER 2 was demonstrated.

The second version of RuBot by Pete Redmond from Dublin, Ireland. There are cameras in the eyes of the head that scan the cube before the pneumatic arm solves it. It usually solves the cube in a max of 50 seconds.
