i was just wondering if you have found out the name of that song and the artist who sings it from the salvation army commercial. it sounds like sara mclaughlan to me. but i’ve been listening to all of her songs and haven’t found it.

It sounds like Sarah McLaughlin. I have no clue what the title is and can’t seem to find it on the internet.
I’ll check back here to see if anyone else has figured it out.

I’m looking for the same song. It does sound like Sarah McLaughlin but it also sounds like it could be Dido? I can’t find it yet, but I’m still looking!

Layah Jane sings this. But I hear it was made just for this commercial, so it doesn’t exist anywhere else.

Yes, the song has got people talking, but let’s focus on the reason for the commercial (and song) folks. I hope that all of you either donated to the Salvation Army or volunteered this year. This commercial touches me. I know what it’s like to have nothing, and I feel so lucky now for what I have. When we rush by worry about petty things like expensive Christmas presents, stop to remember the kids this Christmas who don’t know where their next meal is coming from, let alone having a gift. Peace.

The artist is Layah Jane, twenty-four year old singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. She did a special recording for the comercial, so it’s not available. I know, it’s HORRIBLE. Such a great song ..

It’s just part of a song
