While living in ann arbor, mi, my wife and i became acquainted with a young mainland chinese couple that had escaped from china. the husband had been present at the tianimen square protest/massacre. He confirmed the bloody slaughter which chinese authorities denied. these people deserve our respect. they bought some democracy for china with their blood.
